My latest book, a Louisiana gothic thriller/faustian tragedy is now available for purchase across the web (and in select Louisiana bookstores). This is a much darker book than anything I have written, and it is, in many ways, the most personal book I have written.
It’s the second novel I’ve written that connects to the fictional Louisiana city of Nouvelle Arniers and St. Albertus Magnus University. Now, most of the novel takes place in New Orleans, as young scholar Danielle Sanders searches for direction for her dissertation beyond “something to help improve childhood literacy rates.” Of course, she picks a time when a serial killer targeting the rich and powerful who use their wealth and influence to evade justice stalks the Quarter. She also meets, befriends, and falls in love with a witch who has centuries of secrets hidden within the walls of her house—especially behind one door she forbids Danielle from opening.
I’m sure you can see what will happen next. This book is dark, bloody, erotic, blasphemous, and tragic. Choices, none of them good, must be made when one seeks to help the oppressed who live in a corrupt system.
