Werewolves in MY Bayou?

Hey, this is a multi-part update on a few projects.

Wolf in the Sanctuary Update

The first is on the Louisiana gothic horror novel I was working on earlier. That novel is both drafted and revised, and now it’s off to my editor. We’re looking at an early summer release of Wolf in the Sanctuary. The cover reveal will occur within two weeks, but here’s a teaser with the book blurb as it stands now:

And there doesn’t need to be surprises on this, so yes, this will be a Rougarou gothic horror story. That being said, the vibe will be more of the “creepy and unsettling” than terrifying. I’ll be talking more about this later!

And as a warning to readers, this book has a long list of content warnings:

This is the longest content warning for a book I’ve written, but given the role of sin and darkness in gothic fiction—and particularly the way the sins of the past haunt the present in Southern Gothic—these were needed. I place content warnings at the beginning of my books because I want my readers aware of what they’re getting into. Their safety is a primary concern of mine.

Tales of the Veiled Rose: Moving to Patreon

So, the Tales of the Veiled Rose series of dark fantasy shorts is going to be moving to Patreon. I’ve been having issues getting Ream to work. Yesterday, everything I had placed on the site, including the first two novelettes, disappeared. So, I’m moving to Patreon. There will only be a $5 tier for membership, but it will have quite a few benefits. And as membership increases, I will increase the discount I offer on novels. That said, the new address is here. You’ll be able to buy the stories individually there as well as on my website and other online retailers. Paperback collections will come later in the year!

The first short piece will be “Vile Communion,” and here’s the blurb:

That’s where things stand for the weekend. I’ll be back here early next week with more updates on Wolf in the Sanctuary, Carmilla’s Gambit, and Tales of the Veiled Rose… and perhaps something else as well.
